These cases are my first foray into the iPod/iPhone market after almost 18 years of making bags. There are a gazillion companies making cases
for this market. What's inspired me to make my own is the fact that I think other designers are missing the whole point of a case. It's like everyone
is making a case to KEEP your iphone IN. So, what you end up doing is interacting with this piece of technology from Apple inside a $30 case
rather than enjoying the full experience of the incredible blending of design and technology that IS Apple. The result is a bulker, heavier and
inherently less attractive iPhone, just because the iPhone is so beautiful on it's own.
 
As a designer that's what I was thinking about. In designing a case for the iphone for myself, personally, I wanted a case that I can keep my
iPhone in but take it out of the case to enjoy Apple's handiwork. My inspiration was just a simple, comfortable pair of jeans. No big fashion
statement. Just comfort.
 
I don't want to keep my iPhone in my pocket with my keys. I don't want a whacky product design that tries to compete with Apple's design. I just
want a simple protective case that I can take my phone OUT of. When it comes right down to it, I paid my $599 and I want to touch my iPhone!!
